Clare gardaí are warning motorists to expect huge volumes of Bank Holiday traffic on the county’s roads over the next 48 hours.
The three day weekend marks the peak of the holiday period with thousands of people on the move from today.

Extra garda checkpoints to crackdown on speed, the non wearing of seatbelts and drink driving are being set up on roads right across Clare and motorists that flout the law are being warned that they will be caught.
While the Head of the Traffic Corp in County Clare Inspector John Galvin is also urging motorist to take plenty of breaks if they’re on long journeys
