The INMO has expressed ‘grave concern’ at high overcrowding in University Hospital Limerick.
Nurses yesterday reported the highest level of overcrowding at the hospital since February, with 62 patients waiting for a bed.
The INMO’s figures were more than twice that of the next busiest hospital in the country.

However, the HSE’s own TrolleyGAR figures, which use a different methodology to count patients on trolleys in Limerick, found less than half that number people on trolleys.
Director of Industrial Relations with the union, Tony Fitzpatrick, says the situation has the potential to be catastrophic.
