Contractors appointed by the NRA are due to arrive at a bridge near Miltown Malbay this morning, to assess damage there caused during flooding on Friday night.
Clonbony Bridge, which is on the N67, was closed following the heavy rainfall after a subsidence was discovered in the road.

There are also concerns about embankments which are supporting another part of the route, and this is also being assessed by engineers.
Spanish Point Fianna Fáil Councillor Michael Hillery says the area needs to be reviewed in order to prevent a repeat of the flooding.
