The Department of Education have declared that the teaching of French at a Shannon school is tres bien.
In the latest round of school inspection reports, officials have identified a number of strengths in the teaching of the language at St. Patrick’s Comprehensive School.

Inspectors praised the use of information technology in the classroom, as well as the high standard of teaching and good planning for lessons.
A number of recommendations to improve the teaching of the subject were made, including that future subject planning focus on a number of key areas
