Intel’s Irish Staff Set To Be Hit By Job Losses

Intel staff in Ireland look likely to be impacted by planned jobs cuts at the company. 

The tech giant – which employs around 200 people at its facility in East Park in Shannon – has today told Irish workers they'll be told early next week if their jobs are in jeopardy.

Last week the company announced plans to cut 12 thousand from it's global workforce over the next year and the job losses will be both voluntary and involuntary.

Intel employs over 5,000 people in Ireland – the vast majority at it's plant in Leixlip Co. Kildare.
