A man is recovering in hospital today following a reported Shooting incident in Tulla.
Another man has been arrested in connection with the incident.
Gardaí were called to a house just outside Tulla at about 2 o'clock this morning where they found an injured man and a legally held shotgun.
The man who is understood to be in his 30s, was removed to University Hospital Limerick where he is being treated for his injuries.
Another man who was at the scene and is said to be in his 50s has been arrested and is being detained at Ennis Garda station under section 30 of the Criminal Justice act.
The scene has been preserved and a forensic examination has been conducted – while the shotgun has undergone a ballistics test.
Gardaí say both men are known to each other and they're not looking for anyone else in their investigation.
