Bus Éireann say they’re investigating an incident in which a Clarewoman became trapped inside the baggage compartment of a coach.
The woman, a cancer patient, was travelling from Galway to her home in North Clare when she got off the bus in Ballyvaughan.

It’s understood her small bag was hidden behind larger luggage so she climbed into the bay to retrieve it, at which point the doors were closed. It’s believed she may have fainted.
The bus then continued it’s journey to Doolin, 25km away, where the woman was discovered. She was described as being in a shaken condition.
A Bus Eireann spokesman has said it takes complaints very seriously, and that an investigation is underway.
