Irish Consumers warned about Findus Lasagne product

Irish retailers have been asked to withdraw a beef product from their shelves after tests in the UK revealed it contained 100 percent horse meat.

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland also issued a warning to consumers not to eat Findus frozen beef lasagne meal after it discovered the product  has been on sale here.

Following the contamination, the UK’s Food Standards Agency is demanding retailers test all of their beef products within one week to see if it contains a veterinary drug used on horses.
