Spring tides and rip currents may lead to dangerous conditions on Clare's coasts this weekend.
August is the most popular month for outdoor swimming and water activities and Irish Water Safety are advising people to stay close to the shore and within your depth.

People are being advised to wear a lifejacket at all times in the water and to carry a phone if going on coastal walks or picking shellfish, in case you need to call lfor help.
