Jobs Boosts For Kerry And Dublin

A Japanese financial services firm is to create 100 new jobs in Co Kerry.

The company – Japan Research Institute America – is to establish a Software Development Operation at the Kerry Technology Park in Tralee.

The highly skilled positions will be filled over the next five years.

JRI America is a subsidiary of Japan’s second-largest bank – Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation – which employees over 61,000 people.

The Tralee centre will support the bank’s Western Hemisphere IT operations.

Meanwhile, Google is to establish a new data centre in Ireland – with the creation of 30 jobs.

200 people will be employed during the construction of the facility in West Dublin – which is expected to be up and running before the end of next year.

Google already employs over 2,000 people at its offices in Dublin.
