Several West Clare jobs have been saved after a well known Kilrush businesses has decided to reverse its decision to close down.
O’Dwyer’s Building Suppliers and DIY Superstore on the Cooraclare road in the West Clare town was poised to shut its doors last weekend with 7 staff facing redundancies.

However speaking to Clare FM owner John O’Dwyer said that following huge support from suppliers, local businesses and the general community in West Clare, he has decided to remain open albeit on a smaller scale.
The store will still operate on the same site but in the smaller front shop area with three jobs retained and he hopes that if business picks up in the coming years he will be able to re-open the larger showroom
