The Garda Commissioner has told rank and file gardaí that a new policy on high speed pursuits of suspects was being drawn up
Speaking at the GRA’s annual conference Martin Callinan also rejected a call by members for the abolition of the garda reserve.
The Justice Minister Alan will address the conference in Mayo later where he’s expected to face calls to abandon plans to reduce numbers in the force.
