The leaders of Fine Gael and Labour will meet later today to finalise the make-up of the next Cabinet and the agenda for their first days in office.
Enda Kenny and Eamon Gilmore have promised to get straight to work, after yesterday agreeing to form a new coalition Government.
The Finance portfolio looks set to be split in two with Michael Noonan expected to take charge over fiscal planning and banking while Labour will look after public sector reform.
