Kenny pledge health care improvements for remote Clare communities

The Taoiseach has promised improved health services are on their way for those involved in serious accidents, particularly in remote areas like West Clare.

Enda Kenny was speaking at Loop Head at the weekend, in what was his first visit to the area where locals have campaigned for better ambulance and Emergency services, following the closure of the full time A and E in Ennis.

Residents of the Kilbaha, Cross and Carrigaholt areas have expressed safety fears due to the long distance they face to hospital in Limerick, and Enda Kenny was questioned about his plans to address their concerns, as he spoke to Clare FM.

The Taoiseach said the Health Minister is implementing an many improvements, with more news to come about accident response plans in the coming days
