After three years waiting, the diocese of Kildare and Leighlin will this afternoon welcome it’s new Bishop.
Fr. Denis Nulty was ordained at the Cathedral of the Assumption in Carlow, and at 50 years of age, he’ll be the youngest Bishop in the country.
His predecessor, Bishop Jim Moriarty, stepped down three years ago, after admitting that he "should have done more" to challenge the culture of child abuse in the Church.
