A West Clare student is in a critical condition in hospital following an accident in the University of Limerick.
The 22 year old from Kildysart, was injured at the fountain beside the Schumann Building on the UL campus after he was celebrating the end of his exams.

The incident happened shortly before 5am yesterday morning.
He is currently being treated at the Mid Western Regional Hospital in Limerick, where a spokesperson for the HSE says he is in a critical condition.
