The risk assessment into Kilkee’s diving equipment has been completed but it remains unclear whether the ladders and diving boards will be returned.
The safety audit was carried out by Irish Water Safety on ten swimming spots in the West Clare Seaside town over in recent days
The IWS says the ladders will remain in place until the County Council view their report, however diving boards at the renowned swimming spots have yet to be decided on.
Meanwhile signage such as safety notices and hazard signs may be erected to comply with International Standards at swimming spots around the area.
Director of Irish Water Safety Cmdt. John Leech says the issue of diving boards is still under consideration.
