A teenage boy has been brought to hospital following an incident in Kilkee in which he sustained serious hand injuries.
It’s understood a firework exploded in the boy’s hand while he was playing with friends between 4:00 and 4:30 yesterday afternoon.

The 14-year-old was taken by air ambulcance to University Hospital Galway.
Gardai in Kilrush say they are now investigating the incident, and are seeking to ascertain how the boy came into contact with the firework in question.
