A second person has lost their lives on roads in the Mid West this weekend bringing the total death toll from the past two days to four.
The latest victim – a woman in her twenties -died in a three car collision at Newcastle West in Limerick at 10.30 last night- while a four year old child was also among the injured.
It happened just 24 hours after a 37 year old man from Killaloe- Ballina lost his life in a crash near Castletroy.
Gary McInerney of Shoreside, died after being involved in a collision with a car on the N7 between Annacotty and Kilmurray at around 7pm on Saturday.
The father of two will be laid to rest after 11.30 mass at Our Lady and Saint Lua’s Church in Ballina tomorrow.
Two other people, also died in separate crashes in Kerry and Cavan over the weekend
