The Diocese of Killaloe is sending the most number of seminarians to St. Patrick’s College, Maynooth of any Diocese in the country.
However, figures reported by The Irish Catholic show the college has a record low level of trainee priests this year.
The two seminarians from this Diocese are among an overall total of just six.

A further nine men have begun studying for the priesthood, but are doing a year of preparation in their own Dioceses before their expected entry to the seminary next year.
