A Killaloe student will take one of the final steps to becoming a priest this weekend.
Ger Fitzgerald will be ordained to the Diaconate this Sunday at Saint Patrick’s College Maynooth.

In becoming a deacon the 30 year old from will be able to preside over some of the sacramental ceremonies of the Church such as Baptism and Marriage.
He is one of four students preparing for the priesthood in the diocese of Killaloe.
