Killeen insists he will contest general election

 

 

The Minister Defence Tony Killeen has insisted he WILL contest the next General Election in Clare.

The Kilnaboy TD has told Clare FM he fully intends to be a candidate for Fianna Fail providing he’s selected by the party and as long as his health remains good following his treatment for cancer last year.

Questions have been raised about the Defence Minister’s future again, following announcements by his cabinet colleagues Noel Dempsey and Dermot Ahern that they’re both quitting politics, and in light of political poll pointing to a major reduction in support for Fianna Fail.

But Minister Killeen insists his position has been made very clear
