It's hoped Community childcare services will resume in Kilrush and Kilkee this month.
An agreement has been reached between Pobal, the Clare Local Development Company and the Department of Children and Youth Affairs over the management of the service and a recruitment process is now underway.

It brings to an end a long-running period of uncertainty for parents in Kilkee and Kilrush following the shock closure of the West Clare Early Years Services in February, with the loss of 400 childcare places across West Clare and over 50 jobs.
Sorcha Daly of the West Clare Community Childcare Action Group has been telling me that parents are relieved that the situation has finally been resolved.
