The Kilrush Director of Glen has described as "worrying" a new report which shows a link between bullying in schools and self harm among LGBTI pupils.
Gay and Lesbian Equality Network GLEN, interviewed over 2-thousand people to discover that while many LGBTI people aged 25 and above are generally doing well- younger LGBTI people can suffer poor mental health.

They are three times as likely to take their own lives, twice as likely to self-harm and four times more likely to experience stress, anxiety and depression.
Brian Sheehan says a number of steps need to be taken.
