Kilrush gardai have confirmed they’re investigating an incident where a local officer was sent a pigs head in
the post.
The package, containing the animinal’s head was sent by registered post to the garda home address in the past few days.
The individual in question is understood to be heavily involved in community work in West Clare and is highly regarded in the local community.

Superintendent Gerry Wall who’s leading the investigation says they are currently trying to trace the origin of the delivery through An Post and its hoped they will have further developments in the near future.
