The victim of a 150,000 euro jewellery robbery in Kilrush is appealing for help from the public in catching the culprits.
Gardaí are continuing to investigate the theft of diamond rings, bracelets, pendants and watches from Hartman’s Jewellers in Kilrush last weekend, as the owners of the long running local business insist they won’t be beaten by the major loss.
The Jewellers on Moore Street has been in the family of Michael and Maria Hartman since 1945 and they’re hoping some stock can be recovered as they struggle to rebuild their business.
In an emotional interview to be broadcast on Clare FM’s Morning Focus – Maria Hartman described the robbery as an attack on small businesses and spoke of the personal consequences of the crime for her family.
