A 25 year old man is due to go on trial today for the murder of Kilrush man Leslie Kenny.
Brendan O’Sullivan of O’Gorman Street, Kilrush is charged with the murder of the 27 year old Mr Kenny, who died in a shooting incident in the West Clare Town on July 29th last year.
Leslie Kenny was found dead in the garden of a house on O’Gorman Street, Kilrush at around 10.30am on the morning of July 29th, 2009.
It’s believed he was hit by two shotgun blasts and a firearm was recovered at the scene.
Less than three hours later – 25 year old Brendan O’Sullivan walked into Kilrush garda station was arrested by detectives.
Brendan O’Sullivan is due before the Central Criminal Court in Dublin this morning where a jury is expected to be sworn in to hear his trial.
