Kilrush Town Council has decided to re-allocate funds within it’s own budget to provide for a new CCTV system in the centre of the West Clare town.
A meeting of Councillors, community representatives and senior figures with Kilrush Gardaí this morning heard that funding is now secure for the project, and a tendering process is underway.

No target date is set for installation as of yet, but Councillors hope the system will be up and running without delay.
Mayor of Kilrush Councillor Mairead O’Brien is confident the CCTV system will serve as a boost to the town.
