Both sides in the Air Traffic Controllers row are heading to the Labour Court today.
The Impact staff agreed yesterday to defer an escalation of the dispute which saw thousands of passengers hit and over 150 flights cancelled at Shannon Cork and Dublin airports on Wednesday.
The union says it will attend the talks without pre-conditions – however it believes the 14 air traffic controllers – suspended by the IAA – should be restored to the payroll as soon as possible.
Yesterday the Transport Minister warned that he had messages from companies in Shannon that said they may have been forced to pull out of the region if the dispute had escalated.
Clare Fine Gael TD Joe Carey says the issue must be resolved in the interests of local businesses
