Labour have selected their candidates to run in two of Clare’s Municipal Districts in next year’s local elections.
Moy native Seamus Ryan beat off disability campaigner Dermot Hayes to become the party’s sole candidate in Ennis.
Meanwhile, current Clare County Council member Pascal Fitzgerald and Shannon Town Councillor Tony McMahon will both seek to win seats in the Shannon Municipal District.
A party spokesman has told Clare FM that it will field candidates in the Killaloe and Kilrush districts, and that they will be selected at a convention in the New Year.
