20,000 euro's been allocated by Clare County Council for this year's hedge cutting fund.
The scheme provides 25 euro per kilometre – for one side of the road – for clearing of over hanging branches and foliage on roads.

This year's programme opens on September first and will be operated on a first-come-first-served basis.
Bodyke Fine Gael Councillor Joe Cooney says it aims to tackle dangerous streches of rural roads, and is encouraging all landowners to apply.
