Horse dealers and enthusiasts, tourists and locals are expected to turn out in their droves today for the annual horse fair at Spancillhill.
The historic horse fair dates back over 400 years and is still going strong with even higher numbers expected to turn out this year due to the recent fine weather.
Various prizes are on offer, while many deals will be done in Spancillhill today along with the usual fun of the fair, which organiser Michael Duggan describes as a midsummer social gathering for people from all over the country.
Meanwhile Gardai in Ennis are warning motorists to expect delays and some restrictions on the main Tulla Road as large numbers arrive for the fair at Spancillhill today.
