A leading hurley producer in Clare is confident that the clash of the ash will remain.
It comes as the GAA is preparing for a scenario where ash hurleys may no longer be used as a result of the tree disease "ash dieback", which has wiped out the ash tree in Denmark.

A "hybrid" hurley combined of ash and fibreglass is one of the suggestions put forward.
