Leaving Cert Results released

Over 15 hundred Leaving Cert Students in Clare are among the near 58 thousand to get their long awaited results today.

They’re available for collection either at schools from 9 am or online at midday for the 796 girls and 769 boys that sat either the Leaving Cert or Leaving Cert applied in the county.

Ten students received 9 A1’s each, however there concern once again about the high failure rate in maths and science and relatively poor results in business subjects

The low numbers sitting higher level maths is also emerging as a concern, and Education Minister Ruairi Quinn agrees that students are finding ways to get around the points system as a result:

Anyone who’s disappointed with their results today is being urged not to panic.
