The PGA European Tour is lodging its license application with Clare County Council to allow it stage the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open in Lahinch next summer.
The application is a procedural step to allow the event to go ahead there.
The Tour’s application covers the four days of competition from July 4th-7th next, as well as the days building up to the event, and they anticipate up to 100,000 visitors that week.
