An open day is taking place at Loop Head Lighthouse today
The Light Keeper’s House will be open to the public from 10 to 4pm, the event is organised by the Irish Landmark Trust.
The group is tasked with saving and preserving landmark buildings on both sides of the border.

The charity says that such sites have become increasingly popular with domestic and international visitors, and the Trust now rents them out as holiday accommodation throughout the year.
