The man who died in a what Gardai are describing as a tragic accident in Killaloe has been named.
Neil Mc Neilus from Ashbrook Grove in Limerick city is understood to have accidently reversed his car into the canal in an area known as ‘Between the Waters’ in the early hours of yesterday morning.
Efforts by bystanders and the emergency services were unsuccessful in saving Mr Mc Neilus.
