15:00 It’s official. Clare has voted in favour of Repealing the Eighth.

53,129 people voted in Clare out of a total electorate of 83,225. That’s a turnout of almost 64%. Tallies indicate a 64/36 split in favour of a repeal, it will be at least an hour before we have an official result. #8thRef

More than 90 boxes tallied so far, the 64/36 split holding strong. It’s estimated that the tally, being carried out by the Clare Together for Yes and Clare Love Both teams, has around 70 percent accuracy so gives a picture of how the vote is going so far. It’ll be later this afternoon before we have the official Clare figures.

Fine Gael’s @martinconwayfg says areas in his part of the county have given a “resounding yes” to Repealing the Eighth. Ennistymon voted in favour by 70%, Lahinch 73%, Kilshanny 72%, Doolin by 85% and Liscannor by 66%. #8thRef
