Local Businesses Encouraged To Consider Environment During Fleadh Cheoil

Local businesses are being encouraged to consider the environmental impact of their operations during Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann.

At an event next Thursday (23rd), companies will be asked to sign up to a programme encouraging good waste segregation and recycling, improved energy efficiency and keeping public areas outside business premises litter free.

Speakers at the Green Fleadh Business Seminar will include Environment advocate Éanna Ní Lamhna, James Hogan from the Green Business Programme and Pat Stephens of the Limerick/Clare Energy Agency.

It takes place at the Temple Gate Hotel at 3 and 5pm.

Environment Officer at Clare County Council, Karen Foley says they're looking to create the best possible impression of Ennis so that visitors will consider visiting the town again in the future.
