A circus visiting Shannon town has caused consternation among locals.
Parents, whose children attend Gael Scoil Donnacadh Rua, have lodged a formal complaint with the council regarding the location of the Royal Russian Circus, health and safety issues – and the disruption it’s expected to cause.

Shannon Town Council has convened an emergency meeting this morning (Friday) to discuss the suitability of the site, behind the Tir na nÓg playground, for fun fairs and circuses
Local Councillor Gerry Flynn says complaints from parents are being dealt with.
