Local political representatives have welcomed the news that the LRC is to hold talks with Aer Lingus management and unions regarding the airline’s controversial cost cutting plan
The Transformation Plan, which aims to save the company 97 million euro, includes over 100 cabin crew job losses at Shannon Airport
The talks are taking place after the National Implementation Body recommended that both sides in the dispute – avail of the services of the LRC and talks are to begin no later than Monday
The deadline for local talks on the cuts was due to be today and Shannon Independent Councillor Patricia McCarthy has welcomed the intervention of the LRC
