Long delays are still being reported on the M18 motorway southbound as the Gardai and NRA work to treat an oil spill which stretched for nearly 25 miles.
The spill stretched from the Kilmaley Roundabout, into the Ennis bypass and along the M18 motorway to the Dock Road in Limerick City.

The M18 southbound is currently down to one lane as work continues to treat the affected area, and the road has been treated as far as Bunratty.
Gardai say the process will take another couple of hours to clear and are advising caution in the area with long delays still being reported.
