Majority Of Irish People In Favour Of Gay Marriage

Over three-quarters of voters say they would vote in favour of gay marriage in a referendum.

A Red C poll commissioned by Paddy Power shows 76 per cent of likely voters are set to vote Yes, while 18 per cent are opposed and 6 per cent are undecided.

It’s the first major opinion poll since the government announced a referendum on same-sex marriage rights in the first half of 2015.
