A man in his 20s has been arrested in connection with a shooting in Limerick this afternoon.
A man in his mid 30s was shot on the south side of the city at around 3pm.
He was taken to University Hospital Limerick with gunshot wounds and his condition is described as serious.

The suspect who was arrested, is being held at Roxboro Road Garda station.
