A man in his late sixties has died following a road accident in Ennis.
The accident occurred in the Market area of the town at around 10:10 last night, and saw the car the man was driving hit a parked vehicle.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, and his body was taken to University Hospital Limerick for a post mortem examination.
Two others were in the car at the time, but were not injured.
Part of the Market area near Barrack Street remains closed this morning to allow for a forensic examination of the scene.
