Investigations are continuing into the death of a man in Limerick city, following a fire at a flat complex.
The blaze broke out at the building on Cecil Street shortly before nine o’clock last night.

It’s believed the victim tried to escape the fire by jumping through a window, but was impaled on a railing outside, suffering serious injuries.
Emergency services rushed to the scene and brought the man to hospital, but he later lost his fight for life.
A woman who was also in the building was hospitalised, suffering from smoke inhalation.
