Gardaí in Cork are appealing for witnesses after a 25-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run in the city last night.
It happened on George’s Quay at about half past nine – when the victim was struck by a white Ford Transit van.

The van then continued down George’s Quay and onto Sullivan’s Quay.
The injured man was taken to Cork University Hospital but was pronounced dead shortly before midnight. Gardaí are calling for witnesses to come forward.
