A man is recovering in hospital after falling from a roof in Shannon this morning.
A man is recovering in hospital after falling from a roof in Shannon this morning.
The man in his 30’s was working at a former factory in the Shannon Industrial Estate where redevelopment works are ongoing when the incident happened.
The incident happened shortly after 10am when its understood that man fell through a panel in the roof.
An ambulance from Limerick City along with two units of the fire brigade from Shannon responded to the incident.
The fire service reached the scene within minutes, after being diverted from another call.
The victim was treated at the scene before being taken to University Hospital Limerick for treatment.
It's believed his injuries are not life-threatening.
