A man has been treated in hospital following a house fire in Ennis.
Emergency services were alerted to the blaze at a house on the Tulla Road, near the entrance to the Castlerock housing estate, shortly after 6 o’clock yesterday evening.
Two units of the fire brigade, an ambulance and gardaí responded to the incident.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus quickly located a fire in the kitchen area and brought it under control.
One man was assessed at the scene by paramedics and was later taken to University Hospital Limerick where he was treated for smoke inhalation.
