Manslaughter plea in Donegan Case

A 53 year old man has pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of a mother of one whose body was found in the boot of a car in Dublin last year

Helen Donegan -who’s young son and mother lives in Kildysart in West Clare – was shot dead shortly after she went missing from her rented home in Kildare in May 2010.

Bernard Curran of no fixed abode was charged with her murder but today before the Central Criminal Court entered a manslaughter plea .

It’s been accepted by the prosecution and the 53 year old will be sentenced next February.
